What Our Clients Say

We could not be more pleased with the work Karen did on the Leland Livery Building, in Leland, Michigan. Karen went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were happy. The people that she recommended, her attention to detail, and making sure things ran smoothly, were all a plus. It doesn’t get any better than that. We could not be happier!

– Bill and Veronica Bressette

Karen staged our high-end home in Suttons Bay, Michigan and it sold after just 12 months on the market. The buyers told us that it was the presentation that drew them to the house. They could picture their own furniture in the home because the rooms were uncluttered and welcoming! They loved the music and the flowers – that relaxed the atmosphere in the house – and that they bought it even though they were not planning to buy a home in our town!

In addition to her skill, Karen is very professional, a good listener and she went the extra for us on several occasions. We are so confident that her efforts made the difference for us that we are bringing her in to stage another of our homes which is located in a very depressed real estate market. We know that she will give it the edge we need to get noticed!

– Susan and Nels Olson

Recently, my wife and I hired Karen to assist us in staging our home of 30 years, in preparation of placing the property on the market.

Karen provided a prompt and useful consultation with several meaningful tips that we have since implemented. I believe our house looks better and will sell quicker because of her services.

I have been in real estate for over 30 years, listing ans selling residential properties. Initially I wondered if this service was really necessary. Not only do I now find it necessary, but I highly recommend Karen as a home stager and consultant. She’s easy to work with and will help by improving the appeal of your home, which usually translates to a shorter time on the market, and potentially, more money for the sellers!

Our Condo was last decorated in the early 1990’s. It was charming, but run-down and dated. Since we wanted to sell it, we realized it would be necessary to have it remodeled and updated. After interviewing several people, we selected Karen. She took our visions into renovations, turning it into a reality. Karen did a marvelous job of updating and improving our condo in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with what we wanted. We cannot imagine that anyone else could have done a better job!

– Ralph & Harriett Mittelberger

Many thanks for the role you played in selling our home in Lake Leelanau! Your expertise in guiding us through the process of deciding what changes and updates needed to be made – were invaluable! You did a wonderful job, and we ended up with a lovely home that was no longer stuck in the 1970’s. Making those choices from afar for our seasonal home, would have been daunting. In addition to your professional input, you were unfailingly kind and patient with us. Words cannot express how grateful we are for your outstanding service!

– Marilyn E Barth

We owe Karen many thanks for making our 2009 Parade of Homes and overwhelming success! Her staging transformed our house into a home without taking away from the main focus: showcasing the craftsmanship and design to generate new sales leads for Harper Custom Homes. We appreciate how you took on the project with enthusiasm, without oversight.

“I was so thankful for Karen’s help in the remodeling and staging of our condo. The condo was for sale but it was vandalized by renters and needed some major TLC to put it back on the market again. I live out of town and was so thankful to have Karen’s expertise and creative ideas!

She worked well within our budget coordinating the whole remodel. The flooring choices, paint colors, furniture and bed linens all made the condo sparkle! And the condo sold quickly! Thank you Karen!”

– Amanda

Karen did such a fantastic job. She changed our condo from a dark old condo to a light, cheery, fun place to spend time. She was great to work with, always on time , always full of wonderful ideas and resources and understood exactly what look I wanted for the condo. Thank you Karen!

Combining textures: soft, smooth + rough

Combining textures: soft, smooth + rough We agree with editor and stylist Heather Bullard that soothing fabrics like Velvet (in upholstery, throws or pillows) paired with rough natural textures like reclaimed wood and woven baskets, combined with the smoothness of metal and ceramics — give you a totally luxurious tactile feel and add amazing visual interest.
